Get assistance with SNAP applications:

3rd Monday Of Each Month from 10am-1pm.


A representative from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, also known as food stamps) will be stationed at The Upper Room to help people fill out the application paperwork to get help with groceries.

Announcing a new program for young adults 18-25 who are wondering about the struggles they might be having with relationships or employment -- in general, the tough transition to adulthood!

Young adult needing support

Young Adult Strategies to promote the health and well-being of young adults.  By addressing barriers, supporting needs, and offering short and long term support for those who are concerned about work, substance use, mental health, relationships, and leading to connectedness to the services they need. 


YAS will address concerning behaviors, provide educational and group support, and make appropriate referrals for those services we do not provide, by bridging and assisting those seeking help.

The Hannaford fresh Cookbook is a newly released cookbook that contains the best fresh Magazine recipes that Hannaford customers have enjoyed for years. These recipes are perfect for everyday cooking and special occasions. During July & August, the Derry Hannaford store is donating $5 to The Upper Room each time the fresh Cookbook is purchased.
