Young Adult Prevention Training

THIS IS A NO COST, 12-HOUR TRAINING FOR 1.5 DAYS AND WILL BE PUT ON BY YOUNG ADULTS, SPECIFICALLY FOR YOUNG ADULTS, AGES 18-25

RECOGNIZE the warning signs for suicide risk in an individual & be able to connect that person to community resources.
IDENTIFY substance misuse issues in an individual and be able to talk openly with this person.
UNDERSTAND how mental health and substance misuse problems may contribute to greater suicide risk in an individual.
INCREASE awareness of behavioral health resources, including treatment and recovery.

A Qualified Young Adult Leader for the CONNECT Program is:

Comfortable with co-facilitation and presenting.
Able To Commit to at least one training per year.
Passionate for the public health issues of substance misuse, mental health & suicide risk.
A Role Model for your peers. 

Providing evidence-informed services for young adults, ages 18-25, to positively impact healthy decisions.
