Workshop Description: A comprehensive workshop covering:
•How anxiety and stress interfere with physical and emotional
development of young children
•Symptoms of anxiety and stress in young children
•Effective strategies that caregivers and teachers can use to prevent and
reduce children's worry and anxiety.
Core Knowledge Areas: "Promoting Child Growth and Development" and
"Observing Documenting and Assessing"
Professional Development Certificates for 2 hours will be awarded.

Active Parenting 5-12
Dates: Tuesday nights:  October 3rd, 10th, 24th
5:30pm – 7:00pm at The Upper Room

• Effective approaches for parent/ child communication
• Why children misbehave
• Age appropriate discipline techniques
• Encouraging positive behavior and self esteem development
• Facilitating effective family meetings
