Welcome to The Upper Room

We are a non-profit Family Resource Center, committed to the development of strong individuals and families in our community. The Upper Room has a team of dedicated professionals who are actively working to improve the family life of the citizens of Derry and surrounding communities in a way that is unique to any place in New Hampshire.

Serving individuals, families and our community through our mission, The Upper Room improves the lives of families and children by:

Strengthening individuals and families by providing them with the education, services and resources needed to live healthy, self-sufficient lives.

Celebrating families for 30 years in 2016!

So pleased to receive a grant of $20,000 for Adolescent Wellness from our partners at Granite United Way! Thank you for supporting our work and our community!

Once again, our terrific friends at Derry Hannaford made us the beneficiary of their Karma Bag program -- this time for the month of June. How great is that!

Consider picking up a few of their blue Karma Bags at the checkout -- they cost $2.50 and The Upper Room receives $1!

Go ahead, surprise the family in line behind you . . . who knows if they'll be the ones in front of you at the tollbooth paying for you next time?

We had a beautiful day for our HiSET graduation ceremony: congratulations to all our hardworking HiSET students!

We love our volunteers!  Thank you to all the kind and smart people who help us in our mission every day.

Our sparkly Board Member Alexis shows how we value our volunteers.

Youth Day of Giving Back 2017 was a big success! We had over 50 young people doing projects at 8 sites around town - impressive!

Our friends at Hannaford Derry have chosen us as their May beneficiary for their Fight Hunger reusable bags -- when you buy a bag at the Derry Hannaford for $1.50 during the month of May, The Upper Room will receive 25 cents -- get a few for yourself and tell your friends & neighbors!
