Qualifications

Safety is of the utmost concern and priority at The Upper Room. We truly value volunteers at The Upper Room and as part of our security measures, an application/Information sheet must be completed for all interns, volunteers and community service workers. Regular volunteers and interns must be 18 years of age and complete a criminal background check. There is a cost for security/background checks. We welcome your offer to volunteer and appreciate a contribution of $15 to cover the cost of this background check in order to keep our children safe.

All individuals interested in volunteering or interning for the agency are required to attend an orientation session.  Monthly orientations are held on  THE FORTH TUESDAY OF EVERY MONTH AT NOON at The Upper Room in the Wood Parlor.

Attendance to this orientation is required prior to beginning a volunteer position or internship

If you are interested in volunteering for The Upper Room, please contact Cynthia 437-8477 x 16 or go to www.volunteermatch.org for details.
