Volunteer and Internship Opportunities

As a community organization, individuals who donate their time, whether a few hours per month or several hours per week are at the heart of our agency.

We offer a variety of volunteer and internship positions:

• Administrative assistance
• Childcare Helpers
• Community Service Learning Opportunities (CSLO) Volunteers
• Marketing and Communications Volunteer
• Food Pantry Volunteers
• Undergraduate and Graduate level internships – placement based on field of study.

Qualifications

Safety is of the utmost concern and priority at The Upper Room. We truly value volunteers at The Upper Room and as part of our security measures, an application/Information sheet must be completed for all interns, volunteers and community service workers. Regular volunteers and interns must be 17 years of age and complete a criminal background check. There is a cost for security/background checks. We welcome your offer to volunteer and appreciate a contribution of $15 to cover the cost of this background check in order to keep our children safe.
