The Upper Room has an exceptional group of community leaders that make up its Board of Directors. From all walks of life, businesses and levels of involvement, our Board actively participates at the Upper Room in areas of financial management and fundraising, to legal matters, marketing communications and agency expansion. The Board's annual Family Matters Auction is the major annual fundraiser providing much needed dollars towards The Upper Room's administration and miscellaneous program funding.
If you are interested in becoming a member of The Upper Room board the process would include a meeting with the Executive Director and our Board Chair at The Upper Room. In this initial meeting we can both learn about each other and see if our organization would be a good fit for your interests. At that time you will be given a Board application and additional information for you to review. Next, you are invited to attend and observe an actual Board meeting. After this, if it is determined that Board membership is a good fit for both parties; you will be presented to the Board for an official vote of acceptance.
